In his professional career, which he started in the Upper Silesian Energy Company, he worked at many levels of the organisation. He has held management positions in corporations such as Vattenfall, Tauron, PKP Energetyka and Enea. He is a member of the Polish Electricity Committee and the Governing Board of the Society of Energy Trading. He is also a member of the IEEE and the IAEE (International Association for Energy Economics, based in Cleveland, USA), an international organisation of economists in the energy sector. He is a member of the Polish Economic Society.
He is the author of more than 50 scientific publications in Economics and Management and Quality Sciences. Grzegorz Kinelski's main areas of research are processes related to sustainable development, decarbonisation in relation to changes in efficiency and competitiveness of energy companies, as well as organisational management using cognitive technologies, networking and mobility.
