Nature and environmental protection
Forests, meadows, fields. Forests and wetlands. All of them are complex, diverse ecosystems that are home to thousands of species of plants and animals. Their role cannot be overestimated, not only for the world of fauna and flora. It also affects us directly. Natural green spaces stabilize the climate by removing excess carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. They store water, mitigating the effects of extreme weather phenomena: downpours, droughts, floods. At the same time, the same areas, without which life on earth would not have had a chance to develop, are now under threat. Too often, these ecosystems fall victim to mindless human interference. They are cut, contaminated, poured with concrete. Too often, the vision of a quick profit conceals the losses we will suffer in the future if we keep the planet's deadly pace. That is why today, more than ever, we must protect what is most valuable. And to care for the fate of nature, of which we are a part.
